Since it's international women's day, I would like to celebrate at least 5 women who have inspired me in various ways.
Shameless Maya - I have watched Shameless Maya's mainly on her YouTube channel, her journey as a woman .. inspiring a lot of people by being shameless, running her own business, being a photographer & her passion for acting. Her work ethic has inspired me to keep working & believe the best is yet to come. SHAMELESS
Winnie Harlow - This lady is not just a super model, but someone who I admire for several reasons. One thing I love about her is confidence which exudes well through all her work as a model, her humbleness & her dedication to her career. FEARLESS
Solange Knowles - This post would be meaningless if I did not take time to appreciate one of my favourite artists Solange Knowles. A seat at the table has to be one of the best well crafted albums in history & forever will be a classic. Her style is eccentric, fun & daring. She's inspired me to not be afraid to express my uniqueness. BOLDNESS
Anna Wintour - When it comes leadership, career orientation, and being a boss Anna Wintour has shown how it's done. This woman inspires me to stay focused, motivated and be a leader one day. DEVOUTNESS
My Mum - There's so many things I could say about my mum. She's taught me to be ambitious, faithful & to never give up on my dreams as everything takes time. Most importantly my mum has always encouraged me to follow my own path be it in music, modelling, law, acting ... she's been the back bone to my journey. FONDNESS
If you've been following me for some time, you will know I am an advocate for organic products. I have spoken about skincare over and over.. but it's never over.
Let's talk about it, why is it so important to promote organic and vegan products? It is because half the time we are clueless as to what our makeup, shower gels, lotions contain, and a lot of times they do contain chemicals which are harsh on our skin. It's also important to know your skin type.. and how it can be affected by seasonal changes.
To get to the point, I have discovered this magnificent organic/ vegan African black soap from Shea Island. I love it because it is in such a raw form and the ingredients are shea butter, palm oil and other plant based ingredients.
What's even better is they also disclose where the shea butter is from, and a lot of products we consume we have know idea if the ingredients are lab originated or raw ingredients.
The African black soap is known to have so many benefits and it not only moisturises the skin, but it's also good for fading blemishes, repairs damaged skin, has antibacterial properties, contains natural source of Vitamin A & E. If you suffer from acne, you may also wan't to try out the African Black Soap.
So enough talking & more action. Visit Shea Island to try their products containing natural ingredients. Remember less is more.. meaning, don't waste your money on expensive products without researching the ingredients when the answer is in your doorstep.
