How to get clear skin!

24/9/2017

Okay, so I'm finally revealing my secret tips. Let me just say .. these are very simple steps that have worked for me, using non-expensive products.

  1. Drink plenty of water. To have clear skin, it starts with the internal system as all toxins from the body need to be let out. My favourite for this is simple, drink hot water with lemon.
  2. Stress free life - Do whatever you can to stay away from stress. When you are stressed your skin & body reacts. See my blog on how to destress.
  3. Wash your face - Ok I'm guilty of sleeping with my make up on too, yep it's hard especially after a long day/ nite out; however always wash your face, find the most suitable product according to your skin type.. dry or oily.
  4. Exfoliate - You do not need to exfoliate everyday, exfoliation again depends whether you have dry or oily skin. My best go to exfoliator is St Ives.
  5. Vitamin C - Okay, this is probably my top secret, vitamin C has done wonders for my skin. There are vitamin C oils/ serums for the face. My go to is Purest Naturals.

So those are my tips, and as a bonus.. once you've found a product that works for you stick to it.

I'm a huge advocate on skin care that contains organic ingredients, if you're interested in organic beauty, check out my blog I discuss soil association.

London birthday ideas

Happy Birthday to you!

Ok, don't panic if it's your birthday, I'm here to help...
I love organising but it can be a nightmare when you're taking into account what everyone can afford & if it meets their taste (not that you should care cos it's your birthday 😜

For clarity, I wouldn't recommended places I haven't tried out or checked out , so these are my personal preferences, just to help you get a head start on your birthday ideas.
I'm all about food and music .. oh yeah and good cocktails.

Here's a list of my highly recommended:

  1. Kenza - The food, decor & music is just perfect, ... and belly dancers too. If you're looking for an Arabian atmosphere this is just the place. It's totally affordable for a large group.
  2. Gaucho - So, just to say your veggie friend might not be too pleased with this option but if you're going for that classy dinner before you dash out for drinks & of-course splurge on their amazing a la carte menu ... sip wine .. enough side. I love this restaurant.
  3. Shaka Zulu - You been Camden before, well if not ... guaranteed this venue is purrrrrfect for dinner, the South African inspired decor is breath taking. Lives up to its name. So it's great for dinner & the after party.
  4. Hu Tong - If you share the same love as me, Chinese food & great views... hey, job done, this restaurant is just absolutely stunning... maybe because it's in the Shard. If the Shard is on your bucketlist then this is it, good food, views and a very different menu. Let's just say be prepared to spend more, it's your birthday!
  5. Bourne & Hollingsworth - Perfect for a cutesy birthday lunch. The decor is also beautiful & serene, if you're a plant lover .. then try this venue ... I went there for dinner but I think lunch is best when the sunlight is beaming through the glass windows
  6. London Sky Garden - I actually had a taste of this venue on my best friend's birthday, and let me just say how beautiful it was. I'd recommend it for a little show stop, drink a few cocktails, champagne, snap a few pics, appreciate the view .. then head off to party.

There are plenty other venues I've left out that I'm yet to try and would recommend still .. Sketch London, Rooftop Gardens ...

Chinhoyi Caves : Adventures in Zim

Chingoyi Caves
Travel Diary : Zimbabwe

Not sure where to begin but this is has to be one of my favourite trips since Vietnam.

For those who don't know, I was born in Zimbabwe and still have family out there. My Grandad recently passed away so I packed my bags to go to his memorial and celebrate his legacy & see other family members too. I was greeted with love & fed non stop.

Zimbabwe is southern of Africa formerly known as Rhodesia. I can't describe in words the beauty of this country and the people. The country used to be one of the most wealthiest countries but due to some political issues things went downhill. The gap between the rich and the poor cannot be ignored. Although the love remains the same... the faith and potential for greater development is there.

The beauty of the people, the rich red soil, the food, the scenery is immeasurable. I understand why it's hard to let go of such a beautiful country, the sun, blue skies.. back gardens full of home grown vegetables.

Tourism

Just like any other country there are ups and downs.

Highly recommended places to visit:
•Inyanga
•Victoria Falls
•Chinhoyi Caves
•Kariba

Capital City - Harare
2nd Capital City - Bulawayo

Currency - Currently USD are accepted, and locally they use Zim bonds as there is a shortage of cash.

Transportation - ideally this is something you'll need to sort out before you travel as it can be a little tricky. Lucky for me I had family who were able to drive us around.

Majority of locals with no cars use Combis to get around.. for tourists I'd recommend you get someone you know personally or a reputable cab company.
