Most of you probably do not understand how, why or when but certain scenarios can trigger anxiety, and if these scenarios carry on for a long time without a proper way of dealing with it, then it only gets worse overtime.
I developed my anxiety during law school, I was commuting everyday, studying, working at weekends, and stressing over exams etc. At the time I did not know I was suffering from anxiety, I would rely of energy drinks & caffeine which only made things worse. Over time I started suffering from heart palpitations. ..lost weight and felt helpless.
Know your Triggers
All this was happening at a time in which it was also crucial for me to step up career wise. I eventually started working for a great company in the City. However as much as I felt a new chapter had begun, I was also in an unhealthy relationship and this triggered my anxiety again. The long journeys to work, unstable/ unhealthy on-off relationship and trying to keep on top of everything this being my modelling, singing and so forth. I found myself feeling nauseous, dizzy, weird pain gut/heart burn, feeling weak.
Over time, after finally understanding the triggers, I finally discovered ways to handle my anxiety. It is important to be around positive people and seek help if necessary, however here are some things that have helped me :
