It’s been a while, I have a good reason though, I was taking some time out. It’s so easy to prioritise everything else but yourself. One of my favourite cities in the world is New York, you guessed it... I had a short break yet again in NYC. However let’s talk about wellbeing ....
Wellbeing for me means having a balanced lifestyle. People who really know me, would tell you I work damn hard! It’s not always a good thing, when you work hard and not manage to have a balanced lifestyle, eventually you are going to fall over the cliff.
I work in the city as a banker (for now) and I am constantly on the move. I’m sure some of you can relate, working in the city is great for your career progression and so forth.. but it can also be very demanding. Eventually it takes a toll on your health & social life ... at this point my face was flaring up, and it had nothing to do with my diet, drink water or facial products I used.
All it took for a road to recovery was a short break in NYC. I decided to stay in Chelsea,Manhattan (Dream Hotel) . You are probably wondering why a city break in NYC, well... I love the hustlers ambition in New York. People are hungry and determined to win, it gives me direction. London on the other hand, people work hard but I don’t feel the same energy that New York gives me. A lot of times I find inspiration in a city with a lot more to offer. The lesson here is, when you feel like giving up... take yourself somewhere where you feel inspired, remember you are the company you keep.
When something is dragging you down, find a way to free your mind. Do what you love, be around those who bring life to your spirit and instill greatness in you.
